Memorlined (“we,” “our,” “the app”) is a mobile application that helps performers memorize and rehearse spoken material with AI-generated scene partner voices. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it lives, and how you stay in control of it.
1. Data That Stays on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers:
- Scripts: text you type, paste, import via PDF, or scan with the camera, including project titles and side filenames
- Audio recordings: your voice during rehearsal, processed on-device for line-accuracy scoring
- Session history: scores, progress, and rehearsal performance data (premium users only; free-drill summaries are not persisted)
- Cached voice audio: AI-generated voice lines stored on-device for offline rehearsal
- Notes and highlights: annotations you add to your scripts
2. Account Data
Memorlined offers optional accounts for processing payments, syncing subscription entitlements across devices, and managing account deletion. When you sign in, the following data is associated with your account:
- Identity: your Apple or Google sign-in identifier and the email address linked to it. Apple private relay email is supported and accepted as your primary email.
- Subscription state: your entitlement status (free, trial, premium), renewal/cancellation/refund events, and a 7-day offline entitlement snapshot for premium grace.
- Marketing consent state:whether you've opted in to product update emails, with an audit trail of consent/withdrawal events.
- Custom side counts:a numeric count of how many custom sides you've saved, used to enforce free-tier limits. Side titles, line text, filenames, and PDF/OCR previews are never sent to our servers.
- Minimal device metadata: install identifier and device model, used only for subscription restore, abuse checks, and offline grace verification.
If you do not sign in, none of the above is collected. The app operates fully on-device in its free corridor.
3. Third-Party Services
The app communicates with the following services to provide its features. Each link goes to that provider's privacy policy.
- ElevenLabs: generates AI voice audio for your scene partners. Script line text is sent to their API to produce speech. ElevenLabs Privacy Policy
- Google Cloud Vision: used when you scan a script page with your camera. The image is sent for text recognition (OCR) and is not retained. Google Privacy Policy
- Firebase + Gemini (Google): used for cloud-side script parsing, voice casting suggestions, and director-note generation. Script text is sent for parsing and casting; line context may be sent for director notes. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Supabase: stores your account record, provider identity mapping, subscription event history, marketing consent state, and numeric side counts. Hosted in the United States. Supabase Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat: processes subscription state and mediates Apple In-App Purchase events. Receives a stable user identifier and Apple receipt data. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Apple In-App Purchase: handles all payment processing. Memorlined never sees your payment method. Apple Privacy Policy
- Sentry: captures crashes and error diagnostics to help us fix bugs. Memorlined strips script text, line text, rehearsal transcripts, project titles, side titles, filenames, and PDF/OCR previews from any data sent to Sentry. Sentry Privacy Policy
4. Speech Recognition
Memorlined uses on-device speech recognition (whisper.rn) to score your line accuracy during rehearsal. Your voice audio is processed entirely on your device. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server.
5. What We Do Not Collect
- No advertising identifiers and no advertising tracking
- No cross-app or cross-website tracking
- No location data
- No browsing history outside the app
- No script text, line text, or rehearsal audio on our servers
- No data shared with third parties for advertising or marketing partnerships
6. Camera and Microphone Permissions
The app requests access to your camera (to scan script pages) and microphone (to listen during rehearsal). These permissions are requested only when you first use those features and can be revoked at any time in your device settings. Microphone audio is processed on-device and is never transmitted.
7. Account Deletion and Data Retention
You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. When you delete your account:
- Your Memorlined account record and associated backend metadata are deleted from Supabase.
- Your RevenueCat customer linkage is severed and your subscriber alias is anonymized.
- Your Sentry user association is removed; any retained anonymous crash records cannot be re-linked to you.
- You are added to our marketing suppression list to prevent further email contact.
- You choose what happens to your local scripts: keep them on this device, or also delete them. The choice is presented before the deletion is finalized.
Apple subscriptions are managed by Apple. Cancelling your Memorlined account does not cancel an active App Store subscription. To cancel, go to Apple Account › Subscriptions in iOS Settings.
Subscription event history retained by RevenueCat and Apple is governed by their respective retention policies. Anonymized, privacy-safe diagnostic events may be retained in our analytics for up to 24 months and cannot be re-linked to a deleted account.
8. Marketing Communications
If you opt in to receive product updates from Memorlined, you can withdraw consent at any time:
- Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send you, or
- Toggle marketing consent off from Settings › Account inside the app.
Withdrawing consent does not affect your subscription, your account, or transactional emails (receipts, security notices, deletion confirmations).
9. Children's Privacy
Memorlined is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
